Self-Perception of Parental Role, Family Functioning, and Familistic Beliefs in Italian Parents: Early Evidence.

摘要: Recent research has explored the relationships between family and cultural issues, claiming attention on need to consider evaluate values beliefs as useful factors promote positive adjustment parenting outcomes (Cardoso Thompson, 2010; Taylor, et al., 2012). This paper self-perception of parental role, maladjustment in a sample Italian parents. More specifically, 204 mother fathers adolescents (13 17 years old) filled self-report questionnaires about system (Family Assessment Measure-III), role (Self-Perception Parental Role), parents’ attitudes toward (Attitudinal Familism Scale), (Cultural Values Survey). Results showed that parents have similar functioning they share common family. However, felt more satisfied involved then mothers were able balance different roles their life. Mothers path correlations, which greater level satisfaction better ability balancing correlated with adjustment. Moreover, higher perception was associated lower levels cohesion cooperation. Furthermore, scores solidarity, equality among sexes decision takers. These results introduce important implications for studies culture, open comparison other cultures.
