摘要: The Brazilian South coast seasonally hosts numerous marine species, observed particularly during winter months. Some animals, including fur seals, are found dead or debilitated along the shore and may harbor potential pathogens within their microbiota. In present study, a metagenomic approach was performed to evaluate viral diversity in feces of seals deceased state Rio Grande do Sul. fecal virome two seal species characterized: American (Arctocephalus australis) Subantarctic tropicalis). Fecal samples from 10 specimens (A. australis, n = 5; A. tropicalis, 5) were collected particles purified, extracted amplified with random PCR. products sequenced through Ion Torrent Illumina platforms assembled reads submitted BLASTx searches. Both viromes dominated by bacteriophages included number potentially novel virus genomes. Sequences picobirnaviruses, picornaviruses hepevirus-like identified australis. A rotavirus related group C, member Sakobuvirus sapovirus very similar California sea lion 1 tropicalis. Additionally, sequences members Anelloviridae Parvoviridae families detected both species. This is first study screen contributing better understanding complexity community intestinal microbiota these animals.
