摘要: Devices and methods are disclosed for remote measurment of temperature (and velocity) profiles in a fluid medium (i.e., the atmosphere and/or oceans). Each device, herein called an echometer, method capable providing measurements through use propagated waves acoustic or electromagnetic waves) interferometric principles. By Doppler processing, simultaneous measurement can be made three-dimensional velocities at same points space to enable heat fluxes ocean. The formed then transmitted from transmitting array form pattern constructive interference fringes reflected (or scattered) received predetermined receiver where analog signal indicative is mean phase thereof sampled digital that processed determine therefrom changes absolute spaced receiver.
