摘要: In this Letter I argue that the Surrogate Method, used to extract fast neutron capture cross section on actinide target nuclei, which has important practical application for next generation of breeder reactors, and Trojan Horse Method employed reactions importance nuclear astrophysics, have a common foundation, Inclusive Non-Elastic Breakup (INEB) Theory. Whereas relies premise extracted in (d, p) reaction is predominantly compound-nucleus one, assumes direct process secondary induced by surrogate fragment. general, both methods contain compound contributions, show how these seemingly distinct are fact same but at different energies kinematic regions. The unifying theory rather well developed INEB theory.
