摘要: Although many organizations are beginning to develop strategies implement and study regional national health information exchanges, there few operational examples date. The Indiana Network for Patient Care (INPC) is an example of a currently Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) built upon foundation open, robust healthcare standards. Having demonstrated the scalability this design, State Department (ISDH) contracted with Regenstrief Institute statewide disease surveillance system incorporating encounter data from all 114 hospitals emergency departments. We describe 4-year implementation plan, including our design rationale how we plan address specific challenges collection, connectivity in diverse environments current hospital buy-in. To date, 42 various stages engagement, 33 actively providing real-time data. will discuss project creates potential exchange.
