摘要: Abstract During early patterning of the vertebrate neuraxis, expression paired-domain transcription factor Pax-3 is induced in lateral portions posterior neural plate via posteriorizing signals emanating from late organizer and nonaxial mesoderm. Using a dominant-negative approach, we show explant assays that inductive activities do not depend on FGF, retinoic acid, or XWnt-8, either alone combination, suggesting may produce an unknown factor. However, mesoderm are Wnt-dependent. We expands XWnt-8-injected embryos blocked by XWnt-8. Similarly, homeodomain Msx-1, which like marker plate, Finally, Rohon–Beard primary neurons, cell type develops within also vivo Xwnt-8. Together these data support model Wnt-mediated event establishes posteriolateral domain, marked Msx-1 expression, cells crest will subsequently arise.
