摘要: Advanced driving simulators have a potential to be utilized assess crash risks of behaviors, traffic surroundings, and highway designs. This study focused on investigating if drivers’ stop/go decisions due signal change in the simulator’s virtual reality can used rear-end risk at signalized intersection. A intersection with as many important features (including roadway geometries, control devices, buildings) was replicated into high-fidelity simulator. Using intersection, simulator experiment conducted test driver’s two approaches which showed higher lower risks, respectively history analysis. The results that variability location is than location. Further, through modeling conflicts based probability function time it found tendency locations displayed by behavior consistent finding from trend research supported intersections order seek effective engineering countermeasures rates for high locations.
