摘要: Hyperprolactinemia is common in patients with renal failure. Because radiographic contrast material given during a computed tomographic (CT) scan of the sella as part evaluation for prolactinoma worsens insufficiency, we attempted to define point at which hyperprolactinemia becomes an expected finding insufficiency this study. Of 59 serum creatinine levels 1.5 12 mg/dL, 16 (27.1%) were hyperprolactinemic. these 16, nine not taking medications known raise prolactin and their less than 100 ng/mL. In eight much higher. one patient level fell from 2,210 ng/mL when methyldopa was discontinued. chronic failure similar regardless method dialysis. We conclude that absence affect secretion, occurs infrequently (18.3%) and, it occurs, mild (less ng/mL). Marked may occur such medications. These should be stopped rechecked before CT performed.
