摘要: The M 2 tide and residual current generation in the Yellow Sea are examined using Blumberg Mellor [1987] numerical coastal ocean circulation model. With no stratification model tidal currents show good agreement with observed currents. Coherent predicted around southwest of Korea, flowing northward as a strong jet maximum speed 8cm s -1 , Yangtze Bank, southeastward weak broad current. initial stratification, mixing occurs bottom boundary layer, which leads to surface fronts Bank our experiments reproduce successfully basic water property structure these regions. resulting stratified rectification intensifies at front top layer over sloping bottom, so that vertical is modified. mixed support interpretation Kim et al.
