摘要: We examined the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) messenger RNAs (ER-α, ER-β, and ER-β isoforms) in colorectal tumor samples corresponding normal mucosa, paying particular attention exons 3 5 both ER mRNA subtypes that likely suffer deletions, may encode proteins have lost either DNA- or ligand-binding moieties. Then we correlated these findings with clinicopathological properties tumors. Our results demonstrated all patients two subtype mRNAs were coexpressed wild-type form. In 10% ER-α was also present as an exon-5-deleted form encoded any aberrant protein. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed protein stroma, but not infiltrating lymphocytes. ER-β1 ER-β2, isoforms up-regulated malignant tissues, whereas ER-β5 isoform, found to be equally expressed, at very low levels, tissue compartments. No correlations between levels parameters found. This suggests are independent characteristics.
