摘要: A new approach to pedology was developed in Australia the 1950's. It based on geomorphic and stratigraphic principles recognized cyclic or episodic nature of soil landscape development. The research reviewed here represents a contribution that further developments it fluvial erosional depositional landscapes south-eastern glaciated midwestern U.S.A. This features detailed studies hillslope layers their relationship alluvial valley fills; chronosequences flights terraces; stratigraphy coastal flood plains development acid sulfate soils; dust accession soils resulting problems interpreting pedogenesis; erosional-depositional origin enclosed drainage basins glacial deposits Iowa, U.S.A.; raintower-tilting flume facility its use elucidating processes erosion by flowing water.
