摘要: In this article — held as a lecture in September 2004 at the bi-annual congress of Afrikaanse Letterkunde-Vereniging Potchefstroom author gives brief historical and theoretical orientation “business” literary biography. He points out that “appetite for gossip” past led to view biographer sort superior journalist search sensation, ignored both by social historians with larger concerns critics who concentrated on “printed page”, no interest behind text.
