摘要: This project provides a sociological perspective on self-injury by assessing whether cutting is learned behavior and practitioners use stigma management techniques. In-depth interviews via e-mail with self-reported self-injurers indicate from the self or outside sources. Interviewees also discussed techniques they choose to disclose their behavior. The findings point potential increase in sources, for sources help cutters maintain providing each other support.
