摘要: Colon cancer is the number two cause of deaths in both men and women United States. 90% treatable if diagnosed early, yet only 41% Americans over age 50 who should be screened have been. Two reasons why so many people are not include lack public awareness about colorectal need for regular screening, social support discussion "disease down there." GI nurses can use hospital, community, university health fairs as an opportunity to educate their communities on prevention screening colon cancer.
