摘要: To produce antifouling paints with reduced toxicants levels, it is necessary to further investigate the phenomena which have a decisive role in activity. Among them, two were proved be essential: presence of biocides and erosion. Nevertheless, analytical tools for evaluation these characteristics film need developed. For that purpose, we use scanning electron microscopy (SEM) energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). Recent developments non-invasive techniques enable obtain qualitative quantitative data about erosion, distribution active molecules its becoming during immersion. This microscopic investigation was concluded by an optimisation coatings formulations reducing amount biocides, modifying their chemical structures physico-chemical properties increasing film.
