摘要: Abstract Contract T3 of Line C Rome underground, currently under construction, crosses the archaeological area historical centre, with significant interferences existing monumental built environment. A fully instrumented green field control section was established at beginning this contract, in representative ground conditions. This paper presents a thorough Class prediction passage tunnels through section, obtained using recently developed advanced numerical procedure. The modelled non-linear constitutive law, calibrated all available data from geotechnical investigation. main physical processes occurring around shield, including cutter-head overcut, shield tapering and tail void grouting were detail. results agree qualitatively findings well documented case histories models. installed instrumentation will provide an opportunity to test ability adopted procedure reproduce quantitatively measured performance, once cross sections become available.
