摘要: Pseudorabies virus (PRV) is known to cause severe encephalitis in juvenile pigs and various non-native hosts; recent evidences suggest that PRV might humans. In a multicenter cohort study China, next-generation sequencing of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) was performed detect pathogens all patients with clinically suspected central nervous system infections. This involved the whose CSF samples were positive for PRV-DNA; their clinical features evaluated, species-specific PCR serological tests sequentially applied validation. Among 472 tested from June 1, 2016, December 2018, six PRV-DNA, which partially validated by tests. Additionally, we retrospectively examined another case similar neuroimaging appearance detected presence PRV-DNA. These had manifestations, including rapid progression panencephalitis, symmetric lesions basal ganglia bilateral hemispheres. Six engaged occupations connected swine production. infection should be rapidly progressive panencephalitis characteristic features, especially exposure swine.
