摘要: In the fall of 1956 Clinton High School in Clinton, Tennessee became first public school south to desegregate. This paper examines how quiet southern town handled difficult task forced integration while maintaining a commitment preservation law and order. As strength community was being tested, ordinary citizens extraordinary circumstances met challenges with exceptional courage.
