摘要: Background and purpose Clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) are systematically developed statements that assist practitioners to provide appropriate evidence-based care. The of this study was evaluate the quality currently published CPGs for stroke care examine reliability validity appraisal guidelines, research evaluation (AGREE) instrument. Methods Multiple databases Internet resources were searched CPGs. Guidelines included in English or French from 1998 2004 by a group process. Four appraisers evaluated each CPG using AGREE consists 23 items, ranked on 4-point Likert scale, is organized into six domains. A standardized score calculated separately domain ranges 0 100. Results Eight identified. scores high 'scope purpose' (mean +/- SE = 71.2 5.48, intra-class correlation (ICC) 0.66), 'clarity presentation' 70.6 4.43, ICC 0.66).
