A Successful Palliative Care Intervention for Cancer Pain Refractory to Intrathecal

摘要: Intrathecal delivery of opioid medications has been increasingly used to treat cancer pain that is refractory conventional oral therapy. We present a patient with complex and who failed both intrathecal therapy but responded the interdisciplinary palliative care intervention in acute unit. His morphine equivalent daily dose decreased by 94% over 10-day period, he had better control improved function.
