摘要: Abstract A visual micro-dot enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) based on detection of antibodies against soluble antigens axenically grown cultures Entamoeba histolytica is described. The antigen was spotted a nitrocellulose sheet, the unsaturated sites blocked with bovine serum albumin (BSA) and incubated 3-fold dilutions patient sera followed by incubation protein conjugated to peroxidase. Enzymic activity evidenced using substrate 4-chloro-1-naphthol. positive reaction produced blue spot. sensitivity better comparable indirect haemag-glutination (IHA) plate ELISA. entire could be completed within 3 h. Antigen-loaded pre-blocked strips stored up months at room temperature 37°C.
