摘要: Neurotic excoriation is a commonly encountered dermatologic syndrome, which usually associated with psychiatric pathology, most obsessive-compulsive traits and depression. This disorder typically runs chronic course. In addition to symptomatic treatments for the self-inflicted excoriations secondary pruritus, treatment this primarily psychiatric. spite of this, neurotic has received little attention in literature, probably reflecting lack adequate collaboration between dermatologist psychiatrist. article critically reviews literature on disorder, presents salient features five consecutive cases seen at psychiatry-dermatology liaison clinic our hospital. Possible etiology strategies previously unreported subgroup patients seemingly intractable symptoms are discussed.
