摘要: A newly discovered gene, designated tcrB , which is located on a conjugative plasmid conferring acquired copper resistance in Enterococcus faecium was identified an isolate from pig. The gene encodes putative protein belonging to the CPx-type ATPase family with homology (46%) CopB hirae . found E. isolated pigs (75%), broilers (34%), calves (16%), and humans (10%) but not isolates sheep. Resistant isolates, containing grew brain heart infusion agar plates up 28 mM CuSO 4 compared only for susceptible isolates. Copper resistance, therefore presence of strongly correlated macrolide glycopeptide pigs, shown be same as genes responsible these two antimicrobial agents. frequent occurrence this new where sulfate being used large amounts feed additive, suggests that use has selected resistance.
