摘要: The rapid, accurate, and automated extraction of surface water is highly important for conducting reliable necessary monitoring endeavors. Classification methods commonly exhibit high precision but also have a low degree automation or narrow scope application; used index are efficient, they easily mistake other targets with similar spectral characteristics water. Simultaneously achieving precision, efficiency, within single method challenge. To address these problems, we simplify the normalized different (NDWI) to band ratio traverse neighborhood extreme in histogram determine two peaks one trough between two-mode method, then compare middle value confirm threshold We use modified extract Poyang Lake from four Chinese Gaofen (GF)-1 remote sensing images corresponding seasons, results those obtained by NDWI maximization interclass variance (OTSU) method. comparison shows that our has higher more stable accuracy, especially during drought period Lake. However, polluted water, rivers, bridges, residential areas along lake sometimes mistakenly extracted. Finally, advantages prospects proposed discussed.
