摘要: Abstract This paper describes a simulation model which is used as tool for designing and evaluating literature searching systems. The program creates well specified collection of documents analyzes the effect changes in query file characteristics on system output performance. First thesaurus term relations generated. Then, employing thesaurus, routines generate pseudo-documents pseudo-queries. These pseudo-queries are then compared to see various parameter quantity material retrieved. Evaluation indicates that there small differences between results experimental runs. It concluded one method generating not clearly better than another. believed, however, an approach evaluation retrieval systems provides limited but useful framework information
