摘要: Abstract This work focussed on assessing the contact conditions driving adhesion tendency of PVD TiAlN coated cemented carbide during reciprocating sliding against a normalized AISI 4137 carbon steel. A special emphasis is given to surface topography coating. Results are analysed in terms friction and material transfer over large range temperatures (up 800 °C) pressures. The post-test analysis specimens conducted order understand tribological behaviour elucidate formation mechanisms layers. numerical model developed assess amount heat effectively transmitted into first bodies temperature surfaces contact. Whereas close 400 °C ensure stable tribofilm reducing friction, highest lead unstable frictional behaviour. Coating has been seen be major parameter stages layer. Thin homogeneous layers almost instantaneously formed with polished whereas some time required rougher one form film. power dissipated these high can reached at due heating. Contact pressure found promoting oxidation.
