High-pressure zinc oxysulphide phases in the ZnO–ZnS system

摘要: Wurtzite–zincblende mixture, ZnO–ZnS (1:1 wt.%), was thermally treated at 5 GPa in order to explore a possible mutual solubility of the end members and formation zinc oxysulphide phases under high pressure. The data on phase content, crystal structure, microstructure from X-ray diffraction scanning electron microscopy studies obtained compacts (ceramics) were compared analyzed. It found that as temperature is increased, following processes occur mixture pressure: release mechanical stresses (between about 300 700 °C), recrystallization initial wurtzite zincblende (700–900 °C), reaction between (above ∼900 °C) results mixed oxysulphides based ZnO ZnS, respectively, with rate 8 mol.%.
