Economic Growth and Biodiversity: An Overview: Conservation Policies in Africa

摘要: From the economic literature on relationship between growth and environment pioneered by Grossman Krueger (1991) Shafik Bandyopadhyay (1992) we first conduct a theoretical critical reflection existence of Kuznets curve for biodiversity. It appears that results are strongly contrasted; does not seem to be necessarily solution biodiversity loss. Then, focus main conservation policies implemented in Africa (with example Cote d’Ivoire), i.e. protected areas discuss its effectiveness achieving dual objective development local communities.
