摘要: In this study we develop and then test a couple model of contraceptive method choice decision-making following pregnancy scare. The central constructs in our are satisfaction with one's current confidence the use it. Downstream decision sequence, predict desires intentions to change methods. Upstream they predicted by childbearing motivations, attitudes, residual effects couples' previous decisions. We collected data from 175 mostly unmarried racially/ethnically diverse couples who were seeking tests. used LISREL its latent variable capacity estimate structural equation sequence leading (or not) method. Results confirm most elements demonstrate number important cross-partner effects. Almost one-half sample had positive tests base fitted subsample indicates less accuracy partner perception greater influence female on decision-making. introduction some hypothesis-generating exogenous variables model, together unexpected findings for attitude variables, suggest interesting questions that require further exploration.
