As recommended by the World Health Organisation, efficacy innocuity method controlled field laboratory. Samples blood brain jaw taken from foxes shot or found dead area, for diagnosis rabies, titration antirabies antibody detection tetracycline marker. In rabid animals, characterised immunofluorescence using monoclonal antibodies. 1987, uptake had reached 72 per cent 14 days after distribution. Several wild species competed with taking baits. After last campaign, 65 healthy collected neutralising antibodies detected 77 them. incidence decreased markedly compared untreated areas. No vaccine isolated either animals 228 small mammals trapped area.
