摘要: The management of lakes requires the definition physico-chemical thresholds to be used for ecosystem preservation or restoration. According European Water Framework Directive, limits between quality classes must set consistently with biological elements. One way do this consists in analyzing response aquatic communities environmental gradients across monitoring sites and identifying ecological community thresholds, i.e. zones where species turnover is highest. In study, fish data from 196 France were considered derive using multivariate method gradient forest. analysis was performed on 25 36 parameters. results revealed highest importance maximal water temperature distribution species. Other important parameters included geographical factors, dissolved organic carbon concentration transparency, while nutrients appeared have low influence. spite diversity responses gradients, detected most total phosphorus nitrate concentrations as well. identified such macroecological study may highlight new patterns natural improve niche characterization. Moreover, when factors that influenced by human activities are involved, could standards lake preservation.
