摘要: Abstract The interactions of electro-elastic fields with voids and cracks contained in a piezoelectric solid are addressed both closed form numerically. numerical algorithm, based on finite elements, is used to generate results that compare very well available analytical solutions. Through the results, it shown simplified impermeable exact electric boundary conditions lead same result when hole open, but differ significantly rather slender or becomes mathematical crack. For latter situations, element meshes must be structured progressive, special care taken resolution. It also geometry void, nature materials inside outside assumed play significant role quantitative qualitative elastic field distributions neighborhood void’s tip, thus all being important design electromechanical devices structures. development elements described article goes far beyond its usage as validation tool. Rather, we show an effective accurate tool address problems complicated solved form.
