摘要: There is growing consensus that agricultural growth critical to meet the ambitious Millennium Development Goal of eradicating extreme poverty and hunger. Global studies highlight distribution incidence predominantly a rural problem it increasingly concentrated in South Asia sub-Saharan Africa. Likewise, United Nations Project’s Task Force on Hunger (2005) estimate half 852 million chronically or acutely malnourished live smallholder farming households, twotenths are landless, one-tenth pastoralists, fisherfolk, forest users. The remainder, around two-tenths, rapidly spreading urban slum areas.
