摘要: The current study evaluated the effects of dietary roughage:concentrate (R:C) ratios and water supply on carcass characteristics yield lambs. Forty Santa Ines crossbred lambs with an average body weight (BW) 19 ± 2.8 kg were in a completely randomized design 2 × factorial arrangement consisting two proportions roughage concentrate (30:70 70:30) levels (ad libitum restricted to 0.5). animals slaughtered at 28 31 kg. Centesimal composition, colour parameters (L*, a* b*), shear force, cooking losses pH determined Longissimus lumborum muscle. There was no interaction effect between R:C ratio variables. Total BW gain, daily gain final affected by restriction ratio. Water reduced total BW. No detected slaughter weight, centesimal variations, pH, or carcass. diets observed cuts, except for neck weight. Carcass ratios. Restricting 0.5 does not affect their meat quality (centesimal colour, force measurements). A higher proportion diet results heavier hot cold weights.
