摘要: Single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT) have been extensively studied over the last decade due to their excellent comprehensive properties for a variety of applications. This study is focused on applications SWNTs as reinforcement polymer matrices. Due van der Waal interactions, form bundles about 30 nm diameters. In order take full advantage SWNT mechanical properties, must exfoliate or at least disperse in small diameter bundle size. Optical microscopy and SEM only give qualitative information dispersion. Quantitative characterization through TEM AFM can be time consuming get statistical result. this study, simple method developed quantitatively estimate size dispersion based geometry controlled electrical percolation behavior. The dispersed /exfoliated via PVP wrapped aqueous assisted by surfactants such sodium dodycel sulfate. PVA / composite films prepared exhibit improved well evidence load transfer from matrix monitored Raman spectroscopy. also into PVA/DMSO/H2O solution. Gel spinning PVA/SWNT fiber has successfully carried out with properties. Functionalized tubes used enhance exfoliation. Oxidation strong acids one functionalizing nanotubes. functionalized nitric acid. structure (buckypaper) processed acid exhibiting high tensile strength conductivity. Nitric treatment results selective degradation tubes.
