摘要: This paper considers the problem of estimating brightness visual stimuli. A number physical asymmetries are seen to permit determination that is invariant certain manipulations sensor responses, such as inversion. In particular, light-dark range asymmetry examined and shown result, over a range, in increased variability responses scene increases. Based on this observation we propose can be measured using statistics conditional distributions image patch values. We suggest process statistical learning these underlies Stevens effect.
