摘要: SUMMARY We studied physiological traits of 12 Criollo cocoa cultivars growing in a germplasm bank the southern region Maracaibo Lake Basin, during rainy (RS) and dry seasons (DS) 2007. A further evaluation photosynthetic responses to changes environmental parameters was done on three cultivars: Los Canos 001 (LCA001), Sur Porcelana 010 (SP010) Escalante (ESC001) 2009 2010. Leaf water potential ( L) most decreased DS 2007, with exception ESC001. Maximum rate (Amax), stomatal conductance use efficiency varied among seasons. The CO2-saturated (ACO2sat) higher LCA001 ESC001 than SP010, no differences carboxylation efficiency. Light curve were similar. In all cultivars, evidence chronic photoinhibition observed, since maximum quantum yield photosystem II high (0.77–0.81). conclude that has best performance L remained unchanged, highest Amax ,A CO2sat photochemical activity), it seems be promising cultivar for agroforestry systems Maracaibo.
