摘要: Photodynamic therapy is a relatively new clinical therapeutic modality that based on three key components: photosensitizer, light, and molecular oxygen. Nanoparticles, especially targeted ones, have recently emerged as an efficient carrier of drugs or contrast agents, multiple kinds them, with many advantages over for cancer detection treatment. This paper describes the current status PDT, including basic mechanisms, applications, challenging issues in optimization adoption PDT; well recent developments nanoparticle-based PDT their advantages, designs examples vitro vivo demonstrations capability enhancing efficacy existing drug-based PDT.
