摘要: Peter Harrison provides an account of the religious foundations scientific knowledge. He shows how approaches to study nature that emerged in sixteenth and seventeenth centuries were directly informed by theological discussions about Fall Man extent which mind senses had been damaged primeval event. Scientific methods, he suggests, originally devised as techniques for ameliorating cognitive damage wrought human sin. At its inception, modern science was conceptualized a means recapturing knowledge Adam once possessed. Contrary widespread view sees emerging conflict with religion, argues considerations vital importance framing method.
