摘要: Hysterectomies were unknown in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology until 19th century. In 20th century they perhaps too frequently performed whereas 21st has witnessed a steep decline hysterectomy numbers. It is therefore an opportune time to review indications for hysterectomies, techniques present future status this surgical procedure. There widespread consensus that hysterectomies are primarily be cancer cases obstetrical chaos situations even though minimal invasive technologies (MIS) have made procedure more patient friendly than classical abdominal opening. Today, minimally as vaginal approach first choice if correct given. no longer necessary open abdomen; been replaced by laparoscopic surgery. Laparoscopic robotic-assisted surgery can also indicated selected patients with gynaecological cancers. For women reproductive age, myomectomies numerous other uterine- preserving applied treatment step meno-metrorrhagia, uterine adenomyosis submucous myoma. These interventions only followed pathology prevails.
