摘要: Publisher Summary The term “catecholamine” refers to any compound composed of a catechol nucleus and an amine-containing side chain; these substances are low molecular weight. catecholamines, known occur in man, dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine. They involved neural endocrine functions. Dopamine serves as neurotransmitter the central nervous system minor extent some sympathetic ganglia. adrenergic circulating catecholamines can play important role normal physiology pathophysiology heart. A vast array experimental physiological pharmacological manipulations change concentrations turnover rate heart vascular may be differentially controlled, that is, activation or inhibition nerves one organ area without similar response others. Somatic visceral afferent excite inhibit postganglionic blood vessels. This chapter discusses receptors their influence on coronary flow.
