摘要: Fast discharge quench in ITER using injection of a krypton pellet is considered. A zero dimensional analysis predicts hundred milliseconds time for 10 mm injected with velocity 3 km/s. No significant runaway electrons are expected the Parail-Pogutse approach improved by 'avalanche effect'. Temperature shock due to radiation onto beryllium first wall not greater than 850 K ms close start current rampdown. This seems acceptable performance.
