Thymus dependence of theta-bearing cells in the peripheral lymphoid tissues of mice.

摘要: In mice thymectomized as newborns, adults and irradiated, in nude with congenital absence of the thymus, there is a marked reduction number θ-bearing lymphocytes lymph nodes spleen. This suggests that θ present on those which are thymus-derived. Using 51Cr dye exclusion cytotoxic testing, approximately 65–85 per cent node thoracic duct 30–50 spleen were found to have their surface.
