摘要: A general model has been developed by Khoo and co-workers1 to predict periodic breathing resulting from instability in the chemical control of breathing. This three compartments representing lung, body tissues, brain tissue. It includes circulatory transit delays, mixing heart pulmonary vasculature2 both central peripheral feedback effects on ventilation. Khoo’s appears be an improvement over earlier models3,4,5 that it predicts under normal physiological conditions with only subtle changes parameter values; this corresponds fact observations indicate episodes appear disappear a seemingly spontaneous manner1. Using model, et al.1 investigated number situations man: normals during sleep acute exposure hypoxia, sleeping infants, patients cardiovascular or neurological lesions. They found almost every case predicted ventilatory was mediated chemoreflexive drive breathe.
