摘要: Responses from neurons of the vestibular nuclei were recorded in N2O-anaesthetized cats. Most rostral parts responded to bimodal visual-vestibular stimulation, following a trapezoidal velocity profile. Both combinations two stimuli tested: rotation animal with stationary visual field and overtaking field, i.e. pattern running same direction as turntable twice velocity. Some correlation physiological data results corresponding psychophysical experiments found. As possible biological function convergence phylogenetic solution for discrimination body outer world movement is discussed.
