摘要: Left ventricular (LV) function was studied in 30 patients with lone atrial fibrillation (AF) (paroxysmal [n = 27] and persistent 3]) before after ablation of atrioventricular conduction. In all patients, drug treatment did not control rate during AF or prevent recurrences the arrhythmia, both. LV ejection fraction, end-systolic end-diastolic, left dimensions were measured by echocardiography (mean 7 +/- 10 months, range 50% 18 (group II). After ablation, fraction increased significantly group I from 43 8% to 54 7% (p < 0.0001). There also significant decreases LV-end systolic dimensions. No changes these parameters observed II. Groups II had a difference duration I: mean 11 years, 8 28; II: 5 2 14) 0.05). present age, sex, New York Heart Association functional class for dyspnea, type procedure. Thus, some may show deterioration function, which appears be related arrhythmia; cases, improve is accomplished
