摘要: The activities of four lysosomal enzymes, i.e. N-acetyl-beta-hexosaminidase, acid phosphatase, alpha-D-mannosidase and alpha-L-fucosidase have been measured in extracts endometrial biopsies from untreated levonorgestrel-treated women fertile age. Values were compared with protein DNA content, as well lactate dehydrogenase activity, used reference constituents. In parallel, organ cultures established the same specimens release enzymes into medium was followed. human endometrium possesses a rich equipment, comparable to that found liver. cycles, show coordinate response hormonal changes, decreasing by about 40% proliferative mid-late secretory phase. Long-term levonorgestrel treatment causes marked cytoplasmic atrophy, shown decreased content whereas remains unchanged. contrast, one most active studied, shows higher specific activity upon levonorgestrel. both treated endometria, provide biochemical evidence for N-acetyl-beta-hexosaminidase than dehydrogenase, indicating secretion enzyme. During treatment, there no correlation between clinically recognized spotting-bleeding patterns enzyme in, or from, endometrium.
