摘要: Background: It has previously been reported that the risk of ventricular arrhythmias is positively associated with ambient air pollution among patients implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD) in Boston. Aims: To assess association community exposures to a cohort ICD metropolitan St Louis, Missouri. Methods: detected episodes during clinical follow up were abstracted and reviewed by an electrophysiologist identify arrhythmias. A total 139 identified 56 patients. case-crossover design was used control periods matched on weekday hour day within same calendar month. Conditional logistic regression models adjusted for temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity 24 hours preceding event. Results: There significant (24%, 95% CI 7% 44%) increase each 5 ppb mean sulphur dioxide non-significantly increased (22%, −6% 60%; 18%, −7% 50%) increases nitrogen (6 ppb) elemental carbon (0.5 μg/m3), respectively before arrhythmia. Conclusions: These results provide evidence between pollutants Louis. This consistent previous from Boston, although responsible are different.
