Near-field optical trapping with an ultrashort pulsed laser beam

摘要: We report the focused evanescent optical trapping of nonfluorescent and fluorescent dielectric microspheres using a femtosecond laser. The experiment confirms that efficiency increases with size particles. As result, pulsed laser has been used to trap particles in Mie regime excite whispering gallery modes them. excitation near-field shows significant suppression two-photon fluorescence background an improvement photon storage factor by 46%, as compared far-field excitation.
