摘要: Abstract This study examined children’s (5- to 9-year-olds, N = 363) abilities use information seeking and explanation solve problems using conclusive or inconclusive (i.e., consistent, inconsistent, ambiguous) evidence. Results demonstrated that inconsistent ambiguous evidence, not consistent motivate more requests for than In addition, explanations were flexible in response evidence; based on transitive inference likely be associated with an accurate conclusion other types. Children’s additional evidence increased age, as did their problem-solving accuracy. The data demonstrate capacity develop tandem tools problem solving.
